Word on the Street
“We’ve had the privilege of partnering with Joy on two sponsored Puppy Yoga events for public safety and criminal justice professionals, and both times she brought something truly special. Joy is one of the best yoga instructors we’ve ever worked with, effortlessly adapting her teaching style to meet any audience where they are, no matter their experience level. Even with puppies dashing between mats and feet, she kept the sessions meaningful, lighthearted, and fun. What stands out most is her gift for creating psychologically safe spaces, the kind where people doing hard, important work can come together to nurture their body, mind, and spirit, and walk away feeling more connected to one another. She curates these moments with intention and always with a smile. We’re proud to support the work Joy does and grateful for the impact she’s had on our community.”

I discovered Joy's Monday classes at Better Buzz Yoga two years ago, on a random whim to try out a new studio. I’ve been a committed Monday mightier with Joy ever since. I love her whimsical, joyful (wink), inclusive approach to yoga. The class is challenging physically and mentally, in that way that the challenge is both to push and to let go. My favorite memory is her classic tip: “try easy”.
